Actor Ruhanika Dhawan became a household name as a child actor when she played the role of the adorable Ruhi in the longrunner Yeh Hai Mohobbatein a few years ago. While the show has gone off-air for a while now, Ruhaanika exited the show even earlier.
Ever since then, Ruhaanika has been missing in action from the small screen. Still very young, the little one opened up about it in an interview with ETimes TV. She said, "I am currently focusing on my academics and extra co-curricular activities. I am in Grade 8 so academics are more important to me now more than ever."
She also clarified that she hasn't taken any break from acting and is still doing theatre. About attending online school, she said, "I wasn't sure about this earlier as I felt that it wouldn't work out. But now I feel it's working out pretty well as I am spending more time with my family and I also get extra time to do other things that I'm interested in."
About playing Ruhi and missing the camera, Ruhaanika said, "I really do miss playing both the roles, Ruhi and Pihu, because the show was on air for almost seven years and it kind of becomes a part of you. I wish to get back soon on television. It's almost two years I haven't faced camera and I miss facing the camera. I won't be taking up any long term projects until I finish my 10th standard. But I would like to stay in touch with the audiences by doing short term work like ads, web shows, a role in a film, etc."
We are sure the YHM fans miss watching Ruhaanika too.
