New Year is on its way and we at TellyBuzz wondered what could be the best present for our readers. After a grand session of cerebral effort and brain storming, we came to a conclusion that, why not cater to your needs! So here we go! Our New Year special package for you, 'Yeh Dil Maange More'!!.
Let me
make it clear this way! 2010 saw various shows going off air that
devastated the viewers to the core. With audience wanting more, they
have been sending petitions to channels and production houses with
their demand for a new season of their favorite show. Certain shows are
today missed for the amazing chemistry the lead pair generated. There
have been certain shows that wrapped up for certain reasons, even when
their TRPs were big. Thro' this article, we will be catering to the
needs of such requests and list out thro' a countdown, the 10 shows
which can come back with a new season, fresh concept and storyline!!
We will be listing shows based on its
popularity, the sizzling on screen chemistry it portrayed, how well the
show was doing on the TRP chart when it went off air, and its ability
to churn a good storyline to make a comeback.
TellyBuzz begins the Countdown of 'Yeh Dil Maange More' series, this week and will continue in the coming weekends. The last week of the month nearing to the New Year will see the shows that are in great popular demand.
The countdown begins now!!!
This week we have Do Hanson Ka Jodaa at Number 10 and Mahi Way at Number 9.
Do Hanson Ka Jodaa (Imagine TV):

The show gave us a couple that was liked and appreciated by the audience wherein Shubhangi Atre fitted the sweet and impeccable Preeti, and Shaleen as Suryakamal, the boy next door and a hard core family man became a Godly figure!!. Shaleen was seen in a role like never before and portrayed it doing complete justice to the character.
Do Hanson Ka Jodaa ended on a note when the story was at its highpoint. Considering the TRPs, the show saw its highest TRP at the time of its closure. The show had an abrupt end because the female protagonist, Shubhangi Atre, met with a fall and damaged her pelvic bone and was advised to take complete rest. Since the show had already seen the makeover of Shaleen, the channel and production house apparently did not want to take the big risk of replacing Shubhangi. The new shows lined up for launch on the channel also pressurized the show to go off air.
The show can really make a comeback with a
new and fresh story line revolving around the two characters because
Shubhangi is all well now!!. Above all, who will not love to work with
a great production house such as Rajshri Productions, who have given
viewers memorable shows like Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and Woh Rehne
Waali Mehlon Ki.

Mahi Way portrays a concept and story from the eyes of a cute over weighted girl, Mahi Talwar (Pushtiie Shakti), who has a very interesting way of looking at life. She goes through different phases of life a person can assume to go through at some point or the other. She has two best friends in life, Siddharth (Mark Farokh Parekh), a wannabe gay designer and Roshni (Monica Khanna), who is a dumb, but stylish girl and both are the greatest of the friends that all would like to have. But somewhere round the corner Mahi's childhood friend Shiv (Viraf Phiroz Patel) helps her in all his ways, to get her love Ishaan (Siddhant Karnick). But in the run, Mahi feels very comfortable with Shiv and ends up in a dilemma as to who she loves, Shiv or Ishaan. And on the day of her wedding with Ishaan, she realizes that she is not ready for a commitment and calls off the wedding and proceeds for her favourite cafe Wimpy's to have a burger. When Shiv calls to wish her for the wedding, he comes to know what she has done, and is dumbstruck to believe his ears, but ends up asking her for a date.
Mahi Way gave us an idea of how to live life and move on with it even after various complications. It gave us an office atmosphere filled with politics and competition that we can connect, may be, to one of ours.
The concept of the show was fresh and a never attempted one, which maybe only a section of the audience loved and could relate to. The show is still wanted by people, so let's hope Yash Raj brings it back with a fresh look and a new concept, or would it be better if it is a sequel, after all there is Mahi and Shiv's love story to be blossomed.
With this, we end our first part of the Yeh Dil Maange More series.
What is the point in writing an article if it does
not ask the views of its readers? So dear readers do not forget to post
in your comments on the possibility of a sequel / Season 2 for these two shows.
You never know, as penning down an insight to the new story line
here might just bring alive the writer in you!!
As we bid adieu, we at TellyBuzz promise that we will be right back tomorrow (Sunday) for the second series, which will list out the shows that are placed in the Number 8 and Number 7 position in our countdown!!
Till then, keep smiling...
