Apart from a few days here and there, the news front this month has been very dull.

January 2017 has unfortunately started on a dull note for us, as compared to the last month. All that this month saw was a small number of entries and exits, many comebacks, quite a few cupid moments and four major shows that went on air.

The year also saw the extremely unfortunate demise of director Waseem Sabir due to a tragic accident. Waseem had in the past helmed successful projects like Gangaa, Tamannah, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? among others.
Entries
The month saw an equal amount of entries and exits.

In the entries department, we have Rahul Dev in Dil Bole Oberoi, Romit Sharma in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Satish Kaushik in May I Come In Madam?, Manoj Chandila in Devanshi, Shakti Anand in Gangaa, Parag Tyagi in Kaala Teeka, Anurag Sinha in P.O.W. Bandhi Yuddh Ke and Sudesh Berry in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.

Comebacks
Quite a many, we must say!!

Mohit Malhotra will soon be seen in another Zee TV venture titled Chup Chup Ke, Akashdeep Saigal will return after a really long break with Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Rohit Khurana in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, Madirakshi Mundle in an untitled Rashmi Sharma project, Kritika Kamra with Life OK's Chandrakanta, Ashish Chowdhary with Colors Dev Anand, Tridha Choudhury with Vikram Bhatt's Spotlight and Varsha Usgaonkar with Jamai Raja.
Exits

Actor Raza Murad had to be shown the door from the show Peshwa Bajirao, owing to a creative call. Actress Rakshanda Khan's character in Brahmarakshas will end soon, leading to her exit and so will Hiten Tejwani from Gangaa.

Relationships

Only three relationships made it to the news headlines, that of D3 fame Jason Tham who is in a relationship with Maharana Pratap actress Deeksha Solankar, and, Qubool Hai couple Surbhi Jyoti and Varun Toorkey too were in the news for their alleged link up. Sadda Haq leads Harshita Gaur and Param Singh's relationship too came to the fore this month.
2017 Babies

Well, it is not yet raining babies, but January saw two telly couples being blessed with angels. Actress Mitali Nag and husband Sankalp were blessed with a baby boy and host cum actor Rannvijay Singha and wife Prianka became proud parents to a baby girl.
Off Air

Bahu Humari Rajni_kant, Life OK's sleeper success show, will soon bid goodbye to the audience. The light-hearted comedy show will definitely be missed by the audience.
On Air

Only four, but big ticket shows went on air this month and also received great applause. Life OK launched Ghulaam starring Param Singh, Vikas Manaktala and Niti Taylor in the lead roles, Zee TV launched Woh Apna Sa which served as a comeback vehicle to Sudeep Sahir, Ridhi Dogra and Disha Parmar, Colors launched Dil Se Dil Tak which has Siddharth Shukla, Rashami Desai, and Jasmin Bhasin and Sony TV launched their much awaited historical Peshwa Bajirao starring Rudra Soni, Manish Wadhwa and Anuja Sathe in the lead roles. All in all, we really expect February to pick up.
