Books are filled with an abundance of knowledge and facts. For many it's for entertainment and knowledge, for some, it's the ultimate peace. It was books that made us believe in fairy tales and existence of dragons. From time and again, books have been a source of inspiration to humankind and the pleasure of reading with a sip of hot coffee or chocolate is pure heaven.
Most of us might have read about Bollywood movies like 2 States, 3 Idiots, Devdas, etc which are adapted from novels but there are many Television shows and web series, inspired from novels.
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi starrer Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is partially based on Manju Kapur's novel, Custody. The show did wonders after its release, all thanks to the unique story and Raman-Ishita's chemistry. The story revolves around an infertile dentist who is emotionally attached to her neighbour Raman Bhalla's daughter and later, they end up marrying each other for the sake of Raman's daughter, Ruhi's custody.
The Final Call

Zee5's The Final Call is a web series starring actor Arjun Rampal. It is a thriller series based on Priya Kumar's 2015 novel I Will Go with You: The Flight of a Lifetime, directed by Vijay Lalwani. The series follows the story of a pilot who decides to commit suicide mid-air.
Parchhayee Ghost Stories By Ruskin Bond

Ruskin Bond's stories are every 90's kids is one of the most cherished memories. Zee 5 recently brought those stories back to life with it's web series, Parchhayee : Ghost Stories By Ruskin Bond.

Star Plus' one of the popular shows, Saraswatichandra was a romantic drama, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It was adapted from Govardhanram Tripathi's novel of the same name.
