Observed on June 21st every year, World Music Day is a global celebration of music in all its forms. It pays tribute to the one art form that transcends language, borders, and cultures. Whether through soulful ballads or energetic beats, music has the power to connect people, evoke memories, and express what words often cannot. As rhythms echo through streets, headphones, and hearts, this day reminds us of the emotional and cultural significance music holds in our lives.
To mark the occasion, Zee TV actor Abhishek Malik, who plays the lead role of Neel in the popular show Jamai No. 1, shared his deep personal connection with music. Known for his roles in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, and Kumkum Bhagya, Abhishek brings charm and charisma to every character he plays. In Jamai No. 1, a romantic drama filled with emotional highs and gripping storylines, he portrays a complex character navigating love, duty, and personal growth—something he says music helps him tap into.
“Music is my personal therapist, energy booster, and travel buddy, all rolled into one! Whether I’m stuck in traffic, chilling between shots, or just having a low day, the right song flips the vibe instantly,” says Abhishek. He recalls a memorable moment from a night shoot where the entire cast and crew turned a drowsy work shift into a full-blown dance party with an old Govinda hit. “That spontaneous dance-off is one of my all-time favourite memories on set,” he laughs.

For Abhishek, music is more than background noise—it’s an emotional compass. “It helps me prepare for intense scenes, stay grounded, and sometimes just escape. On World Music Day, I’m just grateful for the soundtracks that make this crazy ride called life so much more epic!”
As fans tune into Jamai No. 1 and celebrate World Music Day, Abhishek’s words are a reminder that behind every performance, every story, there’s a song quietly shaping the soul of the moment.
