Working with Balaji is like coming home -Madhuri Pandey

Actor-singer Madhuri Pandey is very excited about her entry in  Colors show, Molki, as Amar Upadhyay's  new love interest. 

"I essay the character of Chandani, a humorous gal. There is a double entry in the show, Ankit Gera has also entered with me; we will both play siblings; He is opposite the female lead Priyal Mahajan." 

"The production house Balaji Telefilms is hopeful that our entry will catapult the already loved show to new heights. Balaji is like home; I have done Naagin 3 and Dil Hai To Hai with them before. I am having fun here as well. It is just early days, but it is a breeze to work with seasoned actors. Amar is very accommodating as a co-actor. 

 "I have followed Molki and liked it as a story, which focuses on social wrongs, i.e. the Molki practice. It is good to see a show that focuses on rural India, not just urban, as most Indians live in villages."

Madhuri will next be seen in a web series, details of which will be shared soon" I love OTT, but I have to let go of several offers due to bold content, which is off-limits for me. I hope this new show will open new digital vistas for me, fingers crossed."

Shifting gears to reality shows, Madhuri, a singer, says," I feel singing formats like Indian Idol and Sa Re Gama Pa etc. a mixed bag for, on one hand, the aspiring vocalists get a platform to showcase their wares. But once the show gets over, many gets left in the wilderness, finding it tough to adjust to life sans the name and fame. I have seen several singers go through the same hell. I pray for some system which gets them their dues."

She would also love to host a singing show; "I can't be a participant after being around for many years." 

In closing, Madhuri, who loves to watch Bigg Boss, would not want to be part of the same  " As it is not in my nature to be that aggressive."
