Will Kim Soo-Hyun Case conclude by THIS period? Late Kim Sae-Ron's father asked for deposit money

Kim Soo-Hyun’s case has captured the imagination of the whole world. Now, in a fresh update, Korean news outlets have reported that the person who asked for money deposit from the landlord of Kim Sae-Ron’s apartment was her father. This has been confirmed by Money Today who said that he went to the landlord a day after her funeral to ask for the return of the deposit money. It was close to USD 36,000. However, the person told him that the deposit was not paid by the actress but someone known as Mr. A. He was an executive from an education company.

It seems Mr A helped her cover housing deposits for two homes. One of them was for a place in Nonhyeon-dong in 2023, and one in Seongsu-dong, where she lived in the last few months. She died at the Seongsu-dong home. One of her singer friends who is identified as B also contributed to the deposit of the home in Nonhyeon-dong. However, they directly paid the money to the landlord instead of loaning her the sum. Her father was unaware that this was the case. When he found out, he withdrew the request.

Lee Jin-Ho also did a podcast where he discussed how long the Kim Soo-Hyun case would go on. He said it should end by October or November 2025. It is rare that it would extend beyond three months. The actor’s liability will arise only if it is proven that he had a physically intimate relationship with an underage Kim Sae-Ron. This will also be more of a civil case than a criminal one. When the incident happened, the legal age of consent was 13.

Even in the case of advertisers’ lawsuits, Lee Jin-Ho said that Kim Soo Hyun might be asked to return back his endorsement fees and pay for some damages. The lawsuits tend to be more severe in criminally liable cases like domestic violence, DUI, arson and so on.
