Why Beaches Complete Your Life - BW Style

 

Whosoever is delighted in solitude is either a god or a writer. We altered a famous quote by Aristotle, did you say? Never. On a serious note, we'd like to thank our Bollywood sponsors for the solitude of the private beach we reside in - the magical tropical island named Mirchi Beach. Here's the list of Bollywood films that have done a tremendous job of promoting our beach inconspicuously, supposedly in various countries. (Or more like, here's a list of Bollywood films that have done a tremendous job of portraying how beaches can fill your life with happiness.)

 

Dostana (2008)

First up on the list is the popular 2008movie Dostana, featuring the hunk John Abraham and Junior B, Abhishek Bachchan. To say that a majority of the movie has been filmed on a beach would be an understatement. Dostana was shot entirely in Miami, Florida - really, what else is Miami other than beaches? Or Florida? When you're in beautiful Miami, don't forget to fake a homosexual relationship with another member of the same gender (*insert wink here). A rendition of "Maa Da Ladla" on the beach doesn't hurt either. Party it up, ladies and gents!

 

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)

The name Hrithik Roshan can cause hearts to race, starry gazes, and a massive elevation in dopamine (the hormone responsible for the 'feel good' feelings, for the uninformed - do you live under a rock?). Science had been unable to find a true cure to this disorder. As it turns out, the cure is a beautiful beach in Spain. Honestly, if you can't find yourself a Katrina Kaif looking Indo-American who's, luckily for you, a scuba-diving instructor, the movie has failed you in terms of finding happiness on a beach. Real talk though, Farhan Akhtar expressing surprise at your ability to speak your mother tongue while shirtless is not as bad as it sounds.

 

Student of the Year (2012)

Although, Student of the Year was popular forseveral reasons (abs, a beautiful female face, and more abs), it also lands up on the list for one particular scene in the movie where the trio of Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt arrive in Thailand for a wedding. Sensual back massages, anyone? Apparently, beaches = relaxing back massages by beautiful model-like bikini clad women. A romantic night walk on the beach is included in the package. Book it now!

 

Bang Bang! (2014)

Thailand, at the moment, happens to be the red hot location for beaches that can conjure up a crazy fun time for you, thanks to the special sand that contains chemicals that produce a drug-like high. Many of them include feelings of euphoria, hallucinations in which a green eyed Hrithik Roshan shoots you, and kidnaps you on a tropical island after changing you into a bikini top and shorts. Awkward. 0-100 real quick, indeed.

 

Go Goa Gone (2013)

You're invited to an underground rave party in themiddle of nowhere (Mauritius to be specific), and this 'nowhere land' is supposedly a remote island. The hosts of this particular rave party happen to be the Russian Mafia. This either sounds like a hell of a time (if you're high, that is) or a serious case of bad luck. Though, the message is crystal clear - on a beach, anything is possible. Especially if you're young, wild and stupid. Beware!

 

Although, for Bollywood, beaches and deranged impossible scenarios are synonymous, another common theme happens to be joy. Beaches can truly complete your life if you find the right location, the right partner or the right illegal substance that can assist your mind in believing in the former.
