The most awaited show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on Zee TV starring Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick as the protagonists will be replacing Jodha Akbar. The show will seen Dhrasti Dhami coming back after her last show Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

We hear that Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani will revolve around royal families and will show Drashti's character trying to win Siddhant's love who still loves his deceased wife.

As per our source,"Ek Tha Raja will hit the television screens from July 27, and is been allotted the 8 pm time slot replacing Jodha Akbar show. The actors have started shooting with full swing in Rajasthan."

We tried contacting the producer Sunjoy Waddhwa, but he remained unavailable for the comments.

We also tried contacting the channel's spokesperson, but our efforts went futile.
