When Sunil Grover OVERSHADOWED Kapil Sharma..!

The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Television was launched with much fanfare on the 23rd of April. And in spite of the first episode of comedy king Kapil Sharma's show clashing with Bajirao Mastani's world television premiere and the second episode locking horns with the integration of Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live, (which were telecast on Colors) the show was the top rated show on Sony for the week.

And of course, as always the whole chunk of credit can never be given to Kapil alone, as it is always a team effort. However, there are times when some acts become so memorable that they manage to overshadow the other aspects.

Such a thing happened with comedian-actor, Sunil Grover, who is a pivotal part of the show. Sunil gave us the unforgettable character of Gutthi from 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' and it seems he is all set and guns blazing for another from 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.

Since the first episode, Sunil is performing the character of Dr. Mashoor Gulati where, thanks to his impeccable comic timing, he delivers some great punches. However, his recent acts have been a class apart, to say the least. The actor's recent performance with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who came on the show to promote her film, 'Sarabjit' became one of the best performances ever. Now called the 'Apne' act, the act was loved by millions.

Adding to that, the recent episode saw the team of 'Housefull 3' coming, where Abhishek Bachchan was present. And as you must have already guessed it, Dr. Gulati was in store for some retribution by Abhishek for flirting with his wife.

And the act was a massive hit, where Abhishek did the same things with Sunil that were done with Aishwarya, however, roses were replaced with flour and garbage.

It isn't just us, but several celebrities and fans who have gone gaga over Sunil's performance on the show and wishes have been pouring in from then.

We are sure Kapil wouldn't mind being overshadowed, as long as the show does well.!
