When JD Chakravarthy was asked to marry Sridevi; The actor reveals

Late actress Sridevi is regarded as the first female superstar of Bollywood. The actress who passed away last year is still missed by her fans. Her sad demise left everyone shocked and among the most affected persons was her hubby Boney Kapoor. Sridevi married Boney Kapoor in 1996 and we all are well aware of their love story. But what many of us don't know is that Sridevi's mother went to JD Chakravarthy with a marriage proposal asking him to marry Sridevi.

This news has been going all over the web from a very long time but recently when Chakravarthy appeared on a Telugu chat show Alitho Saradaga, the actor confirmed it. Talking about the same, the actor said,  "During that time, I was at the peak of my career. And one day during the shoot of Gulabi (1995) my co-star Maheshwari invited me for lunch at Sridevi's house in the absence of the actress." 

"Her mom was undergoing some medical treatment at that time and she asked me if I could marry her daughter (Sridevi) and I was stunned by the proposal." JD was quoted saying as he confirmed the news.

For the unversed, JD Chakravarthy is popularly known for his works in the South film industry. The actor gained fame in Bollywood after RGV's 1998 hit film Satya.
