What! Namish Taneja nearly escapes death from lightning!

Mumbai rains are here and just like every year, the city is flooded with rainwater. The roads are jammed, public transport has stopped and a lot of people are getting stranded on roads. A lot of actors too are posting on social media about being stuck because of Mumbai rains. The latest we hear is that actor Namish Taneja met with a horrifying incident recently. The actor nearly escaped from lightning. 

According to media reports, the Main Maayke Chali Jaungi actor Namish Taneja was heading back to his home with his family when lightning nearly struck their car. Sharing about the deadly incident with a leading news portal, the actor said that they were somewhere near the four bungalows and it was raining very heavily at the time. Suddenly, there was a big bumping sound as if something huge had fallen on the car’s roof. People suddenly started shouting ‘bijli giri, bijli giri’, and were terrified. 

The actor further said he had heard, when lightning strikes a vehicle, it goes through the metal frame into the ground. Then we need to fold our hands in our lap and avoid touching anything metallic within the car for some time. It takes a couple of minutes for the electrical current to pass through the vehicle and enter into the ground, and only after that, it is technically safe to exit and they all did exactly the same. 

By God's grace, the actor and his whole family are safe. On the work front, Taneja who is majorly known for popular show Swaragini will soon be seen in a new show titled Vidya opposite Meera Deosthale.
