Sony TV has brought revolutionary changes in recent times with the introduction of path-breaking shows like 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' and 'Beyhadh' in the fiction category and 'The Kapil Sharma Show' and 'Super Dancer' in the reality shows category.
However, one cannot rule out how 'Crime Patrol' and 'CID' have been Sony's mantle-carriers running for over years and years. And even amidst them, 'CID' has been the one which belongs to the history being India's longest running television show, completing almost 19 years.
But, it seems happy times are over for the show and for the fans. According to sources, the channel and the production of the show seem to be engulfed in various creative differences, thus leaving the show's fate in jeopardy.
Apparently, a meeting was held between the channel and the lead actors of the show, Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty aka Daya and Aditya Srivastava aka Abhijeet. The proposal of bringing in a new producer was pitched which has apparently been rejected too.
Now in a fix, the channel plans to hold another meeting soon thus to decide the fate of the show and it is being said that the plans of getting the show off-air may also be an option.
We contacted Shivaji Satam, who said, "I have no idea about any such thing. We have been constantly shooting like every other day. I have been getting calls about it, but, we haven't been notified about any such thing. Yesterday, we were shooting in Borivali and today we are shooting at Filmcity. So far, nothing has been informed to us. We are continuing to do our work like always."
Shivaji's words may be a sigh of relief to all the fans, but the official confirmation on the show's fate has to wait...
