WHAAT?? Ekta Kapoor to come up with a 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' spin-off?

Looks like it is raining spin-offs this year. Star Plus was the first to come up with a spin off for their show, Ishqbaaaz. Then Ekta Kapoor launched her TRP Topper Kumkum Bhagya's spin off 'Kundali Bhagya'.
And it was at this very same launch, that Ekta revealed that she was planning a spin off for 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' as well.
Ekta went on to reveal how she wanted to do something on the lines of how the famous sitcom Friends, had a spin-off of sorts based on the life of Joey Tribiani and his family.
Said Ekta, "I was looking forward to doing something on the lines of Friends and its spin off. But there are 6-7 strong characters in most of my shows. Hence, I was planning something on the same lines for 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' as well, but it was not working out with the storyline and writing and all other aspects."
Well, we can only imagine how delighted 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' fans would have been, if this idea would have seen the light of the day.

isn't if making a spin off it would be better if she makes the content strong for her shows specially yhm which should be concentric of the lead characters taking into the opinions of the fans also

Jo original show hai usko nhi sambhal sakti chali spin off banane. Gul ka attempt to fail hogaya wo spin off show ne 1st week 2.3 n 2 ki trp di hai n abhi dekho usko hardly 1.1-1.3 ki trps mil rahi hai so spin off to flop gaya thats why abhi uska original show he chalega. Same thing kkb spinoff ke saath hoga n yhm ka spinoff bana to uska bhi same result aayega becs indian tvs so called ph dont know ki spinoff shows kaise chalate hai

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein doesn't need a spin-off as the original YHM is the best with Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel and the rest of the cast. Concentrate on getting that on top again.

her web series are also too cliched :\ she is talking about FRIENDS spin off but she doesnt realsise that JOEY tanked big time because we love the whole cast of FRIENDS. ans it was a finite ahow ith finite number of episodes, please dont compare FRIENDS with the shows you are currently dishing out.
