'We show every human emotion in the show' - Amit Verma

Amit Verma on the success of Baa Bahu Aur Baby and his engagement with Baby in the show...

Amit Verma who plays the boy-next-door Birju in Hats Off Productions' Baa Bahu Aur Baby is a happy man, as this Valentines saw the engagement of Birju and Baby in the show.

Here is the actor in conversation..

How is the experience of being part of such a beautiful show?
It's a great feeling to be part of such a show. Baa Bahu Aur Baby has completed 500 episodes but I came into the picture very late. Even then, I have got my own share of popularity, and it is great. JD and Aatish are like family to me, as we started our careers with Khichdi years back.

You have been associated with Hats off for a long time now, so how is the feeling?
They have been my family, and there is a great sense of professionalism when working with them.

All the characters in the show have become household names. But do you regret that Birju has been an on and off character in the serial?
See, this is exactly what Aatish told me when he narrated my character before I could join the show. He told me that I will play the main lead, but the show's name is Baa Bahu Aur Baby and I need to understand that. And to me, all that matters is a good role. I had also taken a break from the show for another serial of mine, so all said and done I have a great time here. Above all, viewers long to see me and are happy when I get back to the show.  So what more do I want?

Tell us about the love track between you and Baby?
It is a normal love track and she is very possessive about me. Our love has been depicted in a very pure sense.

What is the USP of the show, according to you?
I think it is the simplicity of the show. We show every human emotion, and nothing shown here is fake.

How much does Amit relate to Birju?

I consider myself as a combination of my earlier characters. I think I possess Birju's simplicity, but I am not as sweet as my reel life character (smiles).

What are your future plans?

I don't have any problem doing reality shows.  I would like to do dance, but can never sing. If I participate in a singing show, the show will close down (laughs). Basically, I want to try out interesting things in life, but at the moment, am getting the same offers..
