Vivek Oberoi has left producers out in the cold after backing out of a Rs.200-crore (2billion) play, at the last minute.

Wizcraft, the company in charge of the Bollywood extravaganza to be held in Gurgaon, Haryana, found themselves in a tangle when Vivek refused to give dates after his recent release, Prince, took off.  However, it was only a week ago that Oberoi had expressed his excitement about going back to his roots with the theatre production titled Kingdom Of Dreams.

Although the play was always expected to clash with the shoots of his upcoming venture, to be shot in London, Vivek had assured the producers he would be able to give them dates.  But now the actor believes that he needs to focus more on his movie and thus can not commit to Wizcraft.

The show meanwhile, is sold out courtesy names like Vivek, Gauhar Khan and Isha Shravani; and the production already delayed by a month, Wizcraft with no other option had to hunt for another male lead.  However, it is close to impossible to tie down an A-lister at such short notice!

But the latest buzz is that the producers have now turned their attention to TV actor and Nach Baliye winner Hussain Kuwarjerwalla!  The actor has previously proven his acting ability on long running soap Kumkum, whilst the reality-dance show proved that he could shake a leg to rival any Bollywood star.

Whilst everything is being kept hush-hush at the moment, we hear that Hussain is busy at rehearsals and very excited to be part of this play.

As for Vivek?  The actor insists that there are no bad feelings between him and the producers whilst Wizcraft have said that they are looking forward to working with Oberoi at a later stage.
