Vivek Agnihotri will cast real life COVID warriors in 'The Vaccine War': Reports

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's directorial endeavour The Kashmir Files is still the talk of the town. The film, was based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the 1990 Kashmir insurgency. Well now the director is gearing up for his upcoming film The Vaccine War. Talking of which, there are numerous rumours that the movie will include actual COVID fighters.

According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, Agnihotri will invite the Sikh volunteers who put their lives in danger to assist with the cremation, according to a news story. They reportedly agreed to work on the film and helped the directors reproduce certain sequences.

The reports further also stated that while "The Vaccine War" is based on a genuine story, real people are being cast as much as possible in the film. They want to work with real Indian warriors to make a movie about this true incident. For the unversed the film is slated for an Independence Day release this year and it will release in eleven languages.

Director Vivek Agnhotri recently wrapped up the shoot of The Delhi Files, which is slated to be released in 2024 and is speculated to revolve around the anti-Sikh riots of 1984.
