Vivek Agnihotri Shares the Emotional Journey Behind 'The Delhi Files' with Unseen BTS Pictures

Especially the pain of Hindu genocides, which is not just a memory - it's an inheritance. On the sets of #TheDelhiFiles, everyday we uncover a world of our collective pain that the so-called secular society tried to erase – a world of our ancestors who refuse to be forgotten, their courage and sacrifice still whispering beneath the weight of religious barbarism, violence, and hatred.”

Agnihotri, who is once again teaming up with his The Kashmir Files co-producer Abhishek Agarwal, has put in extensive effort to ensure his film is historically accurate. He travelled extensively, covering regions from Kerala to Kolkata to Delhi, gathering information from various sources. He read over 100 books and 200 articles, alongside studying 7000+ research pages and 1000+ archived articles.

This dedication to research reflects the filmmaker’s commitment to portraying the painful truth of these historical events. With his passion and intense work, Agnihotri aims to bring a story that has often been ignored or erased from public memory to the forefront. The film promises to be another impactful piece that resonates deeply with the audience.

After the success of The Kashmir Files, the excitement around The Delhi Files is growing. With continued collaboration with Abhishek Agarwal, this upcoming project, titled The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, is set to release on 15th August 2025, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and produced by Pallavi Joshi and Abhishek Agarwal.
