Vivek Agnihotri announces, 'The Kashmir Files' will be re-released in theatres on this date

Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files,' one of the highest grossing movies of 2022, is about to have another theatrical release. The reason behind the second release of the film is January 19 marks the 'Kashmiri Hindu Genocide Day'.

The statement was made by filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri via his official Twitter account. He said that "The Kashmir Files" is the first movie to have two theatrical releases in the course of a single year.

Additionally, he invited those in the audience who missed it in theatres to purchase tickets and view it on a big screen.

Genuine to its name, "The Kashmir Files" is a true account based on video interviews with the first-generation Kashmiri Pandit Genocide victims.

For the unversed the film is a heart-wrenching narrative of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits and questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.

Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film features a stellar cast of actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar.

'The Kashmir Files' went on to become one of the top grossers of 2022 with over Rs 300 crore box office collections.
