Vishal Punjabi, famously known as The Wedding Filmer, has become a sought-after name in the world of celebrity weddings. Renowned for capturing the magical moments of high-profile couples like Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli, Punjabi recently shared an interesting anecdote in a podcast interview with Shivani Pau. He revealed that he was approached to film Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding but had to decline due to a prior commitment.

During the interview, Punjabi explained, “I wasn’t available when Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt called me for their wedding. Many celebrities reach out just a few weeks before their big day because they want to keep it under wraps. Unfortunately, this often means I am already booked. I never cancel a wedding to cover a celebrity’s event.”

He emphasized his dedication to his clients, saying, “I didn’t do Alia and Ranbir’s wedding because I was booked for a wedding in London. It was a beautiful experience, and I wouldn’t change that for the world. Ranbir and Alia would have had a nice wedding video, but my commitment was elsewhere.”

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli also chose an exclusive Italian venue for their wedding, attended by just 40 guests. Punjabi recalls these weddings fondly, noting the intimate and shielded atmosphere that these remote locations provided. “Both weddings were held in Italy, away from the outside world. It allowed the couples to enjoy their special day in privacy,” he shared.
