Vijay Deverakonda speaks on delay in Liger shoot, hints at interesting details from the film!

Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda on their upcoming film Liger which is currently one the much-anticipated Pan-India films of 2021. Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the film has been making it to the headlines since its inception and moviegoers can't keep calm to know what's next in store for them.

However, owing to the current Covid-19 situation, the makers have been in a dilemma as the shooting of the film is yet to be completed.

In a recent interview with host Suma Kanakala, Deverakonda revealed details about the film's shoot and spoke about the delay in shooting the film.

He said, "So far, 65% of the shoot has been completed. Liger is a big-scale movie and that's the biggest challenge in these times. We are hoping to complete the production works in July and August. I am going to shoot for it in Mumbai.”

Hinting at a few interesting details about the film, Deverakonda further revealed that there are a few scenes that require a crowd of 1000 people, which is not possible now. 

"The mother-son scenes, for example, are over. But there are complex scenes that require 1000 people to be present on sets. Such complicated scenes have been pending. Amid the fear of a third wave, we are trying to figure it out," Deverakonda added.

These have indeed been troubling times where COVID-19 has been an absolute pain for one and all where everybody's has been trying to tackle it in one way or another.

One of the worst-hit industries is the entertainment one and it continues to announce cancellations and postponement of multiple films and shows owing to the array of problems.

Previously, the film’s teaser launch was also postponed due to the coronavirus situation. Vijay Deverakonda released an official statement about the same through his official social media handle as he wrote, “somethings can wait till all of us and our families are safe and happy. When we get there we will celebrate everything. I was thinking about you and your dear ones, stay sharp, stay safe, Love Vijay"-

The film is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. Liger features Bollywood's young actor Ananya Panday in the female lead. The upcoming action-entertainer is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. The film is scheduled to release on September 9, 2021. 

The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Bose Roy, Vishu Reddy and Makrand Deshpande in key roles. The film is slated to have a theatrical release.
