Actress Vidya Balan was praised for her role in "Ishqiya", but the actress had walked out when she was narrated the script, says filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj.

During a panel discussion held by &Priv HD, Bhardwaj told the audience how Vidya left halfway through the narration of the film "Ishqiya", read a statement

Bhardwaj had invited Vidya to hear the script, written by himself and Abhishek Chaubey.

"She came to my office, and I told her you should hear it from the director (Abhishek Chaubhey) to get the confidence. She read the first half and then, I wasn't there, she left saying there was some important work that had come up. I thought we had written such a bad script that she left and made up an excuse to leave," Bhardwaj said.

Vidya had a work commitment to attend to and returned immediately after her commitment was over, an hour later.

The actress said: "I thought I was being honest and told him (Abhishek) that I had some place to go to and I'll be back in an hour, and left. I then got a call from Vishal asking if I didn't like the script and told him how I've only read the first half and like it thus far, and that I'm going back to read the rest of the script."
