Surely the makers of the show would have had a bright idea behind the diverse variety of judges chosen for Star Plus' Zara Nachke Dikha. Vaibhavi Merchant's statement only goes to prove this point.

Vaibhavi says, "While Shilpa may be looking at the style aspect while judging, I will be completely concentrating on the technicalities of the dance. These kinds of nuances are best caught by a choreographer and I'm going to make full use of my sharp eye for those."

Vaibhavi explains, "I will look at what combination of steps they got, how much in sync they are…if it's a group performance, the agility with which they use their props, how good they are at making the use of limelight and so on."

The legends of yesterday have no comparison with the actors of today is what Vaibhavi feels. According to her, "No one is like Madhuri Dixit or Sridevi today. It's very rare that there are actors like Shilpa Shetty, who have swift feet too."

Vaibhavi has made it clear that she won't get swayed by any kind of influence while assessing the contestants. "Just because I'm a female doesn't mean I'm going to give some grace marks to the girls' team. They too have to earn it the same way as the boys. I will be completely unbiased with the judgment and as mentioned before, based on the element of my judging criterion I will allot them marks," strictly mentions the national award winning choreographer.

Zara Nachke Dikha launches on May 1st on Star Plus and will be aired every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm.

Vaibhavi is good......
but arshad is too hard on the boys~~

season2 seems very serious as compared to season1.
season2- elimination, criticism (but i love the boys' masti.....the girls r quite serious)
season1- no elimination, fun~ better

In her interview on 11 May 2009 she said that of the Bollywood stars she admires as dancers, Vaibhavi cites Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherjee and Hritik Roshan. The interviewer was Indra Sathibalan it was titled Magic of Bollywood.

Btw, she is a choreogrpher, choreographer designs dance nothing else, so she does not have to be a good dancer, choreographer is not teacher of dance.

I agree fully with Vaibhavi. She is one the of the best judges the show could have raked in. Shilpa is good she has the style aspect, arshad is a mix with style and dance.. and Viabhavi is the dance aspect..so I think the judging panel is perfectly put together..I loved when she said NO ONE is like Madhuri and Sridevi today! ABSOLUTLY 100274897289473 % right.

i agree wit u on the fact that vaibhavi is a good judge.. she may be a bit strict, but she is fair in her own unique way.. one of the best judges of any dance reality shows so far... as for being better than madhuri, i am not sure.. vaibhavi is excellent as a choreographer, but madhuri is also an excellent dancer-actress.. u can never compare such talent.. so i wouldnt say that vaibhavi or madhuri is better than the other, i wud say that they aare equally good

ektay11 u seem poorest at judging who can dance and who doesn't..just check vaibhavis videos on youtube and also dont forget to read comments about her ...she is even better that madhuri esp when she dances to her own moves...she is the best ever judge wjth very unique way of judging contestants...

vaibhavi is an excellent judge ... A bit strict but she knows wat she's talking about .. Is ZNKD being launched at the same ti e everywhee, i.e. Uk aswell!! Can't wait!
