Urvashi Rautela is again grabbing attention, this time with an astonishing statement. The actress recently declared that a shrine has been erected in her honor in Uttarakhand, and she now desires a similar structure to be built in her recognition in South India as well. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, she talked about having a temple on her name.
There is a temple in my name in Uttarakhand. If one visits Badrinath, there is a ‘Urvashi temple’ right next to it

When questioned if individuals visit the temple to request divine favor, she chuckled and said, “Ab mandir hai toh woh hi toh karenge (It’s a temple, they will do that only)."
Siddharth then inquired if people actually receive blessings at the temple, to which Urvashi responded, “Aise chilla chilla ke kaun bolta hai (Who shouts and takes blessings)."
She added that the temple does attract worshippers and claimed that even students from Delhi University offer prayers to her. “They even garland my pictures," she said, further revealing that she is fondly referred to as ‘Damdamamai’ by these students.
“I am being serious about it. It is true. There are news articles about the same too. You can read them," Urvashi asserted when the host reacted with astonishment.
The actress, who has been active in various regional film industries over time, expressed her desire for a similar temple to be constructed in her honor in the South. She has been steadily increasing her presence in South Indian cinema and hinted at wanting her fan base there to demonstrate similar admiration.
On the work front, Urvashi was recently featured in a special dance number titled "Sorry Bol" in Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda's film "Jaat." The song received mixed reactions from audiences. While some commended her energetic performance, others pointed out similarities in the melody to the iconic "Tip Tip Barsa Paani."
"Jaat," which also stars Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher, was released in theaters on April 10. The film received a lukewarm critical reception but managed a decent box office performance. A sequel has already been announced.
