Urmila Matondkar opens up about 'Favouritism' & 'Nepotism' on 25th anniversary of 'Satya'
Urmila Matondkar took to her social media account and shared a cryptic post as Satya marked 25 years today.

Ram Gopal Varma's crime drama, Satya, completed 25 years of its release, and the film's stars are taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane, cherishing the moments they spent working on this iconic movie. Manoj Bajpayee, who portrayed the unforgettable character of Bhiku Mhatre, delighted fans by sharing a heartfelt video compilation of some of his remarkable scenes from the film.
Not to be outdone, Urmila Matondkar, who played the role of Vidya, a simple chawl girl, during the peak of her glamorous career, took to Twitter to post stills of her character. However, it was her cryptic note accompanying the images that caught the attention of fans.

Urmila took to her Twitter account and wrote, "25 years of Satya and of playing a simple, naive chawl girl Vidya at the peak of a scintillating glamorous career. But NO, what did that have to do with 'acting'... so no awards and not even nominations. So sit down and don't talk to me about favouritism and nepotism.. #jastsaying."
Satya, known for its gritty portrayal of Mumbai's underworld, continues to be hailed as one of Ram Gopal Varma's finest works. The film boasts an ensemble cast including JD Chakravarthy, Manoj Bajpayee, Urmila Matondkar, Shefali Shah, and Saurabh Shukla, who delivered stellar performances that left a lasting impact on audiences.
