Actor Ujjwal Rana who initially essayed the role of Samman, in Sahara One's Ghar Ek Sapna is now turning producer.
The actor joined hand with friend Sunil Bindrani, to produce a comedy show for SAB TV tentatively titled Dil Hai Chota Sa.
According to our source, " Ujjwal Rana who is seen mostly in commercial ads these days has been setting up his production house. The shoot of his show on SAB TV has already started, it will in all probability will launch post IPL at a prime time slot and will be a daily show."
Confirming the news, Actor turned Producer Ujjwal Rana told Tellybuzz, " Yes I am turning producer with the show on SAB TV. My friend of 15 years Sunil Bindrani and I have started this production house which is called Starex Entertainment. The show will probably launch after IPL. As of now the actor in me has taken a backseat, while the producer is taking charge."
Resham Tipnis and Rajesh Kumar will play the protagonists in the show.
"The story is about a family that moves from Allahabad to Mumbai. The family consists of a couple played by Resham Tipnis and Rajesh Kumar. Riddhi Dogra will also be part of the family. Apart from that Pratima Kazmi, who essays the role of Tapsya's Dadi in Colors' Uttaran and Atul Srivastav who is seen as Bindiya's father in Colors Sabki Jodi Wohi Banata Bhagyavidhata will also play interesting role in the show," says our source.
All the characters will be sort of dumb making way for a funny show.
Resham Tipnis confirmed the news and said, "Yes I am part of Ujjwal Rana show. We have started shoot. Rajesh Kumar and I play a couple."
Riddhi Dogra too confirmed that she is part of the show. We tried calling Rajesh Kumar but he remained unavailable.
