'Tis the season to make merry, and the celebration continues till New Year. After two years of devastating pandemic, this time the merriment is going to be doubled. Udaariyaan actor Samarth Juriel shares about his plans for the upcoming festive season.

“No plans as such honestly, but I would love to be with my family. I think that would make me happy and give me enough energy to get back to work. Given our busy schedule, we usually don’t get time to be at home or spend time with our loved ones,” he says.

Samarth will be ringing in the New Year in Punjab itself. “I intend to welcome the new beginning with “my buddy”, he adds.

The three words that he feels describe the past year well are “Learner, Challenging and Boomerang”

“I think the most important lesson I learnt this year is to focus more on the process and less on the result. That only keeps me motivated to do my best but also helps me earn appreciation in the long run,” he says.

Udaariyaan is being shot in Chandigarh, so the entire cast and crew, including those who aren’t from the city, are staying there. Like everyone else, Samarth also misses his family. “We are shooting in Chandigarh, and my family is in Indore so it was very difficult for me to visit them often. So, whenever I get time I go to them,” he adds.

The single best thing that happened to Samarth this past year is Udaariyan. “It has to be the best thing that happened to me this year. The show has given me a lot. People are appreciating my portrayal of Nikhil,” he sounds happy.

So what’s your New Year’s resolution? “I’ll start my day with gratitude and give my best to whatever I take up like I have been doing,” he ends.
