Tulip the Baker

Tulip Joshi does not cook much, but she can bake a mean cake. The actor apparently excels in pastries and cakes in all flavours, and has quite a reputation amongst friends and relatives. Most of them ask her to bake for birthdays, and they prefer her specialties – vanilla cake and blueberry cake – to what is available in the market.

For Tulip, it is a passion. "My friends have stopped buying cakes and they make me bake. Talk about saving money," she says, laughing. She adds that she is careful she does not eat too much herself.
