Triptii Dimri confirms Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, speaks after Deepika Padukone’s exit

Triptii Dimri has finally addressed her casting in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next film Spirit, which stars Prabhas in the lead. The announcement came shortly after Deepika Padukone exited the project, reportedly due to her concerns about fixed working hours. Dimri, who previously collaborated with Vanga in Animal, has now confirmed her association with Spirit and expressed her excitement in a recent interview.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the Qala actress said, “I’ve just been working with Vishal, and that film is also going to come out soon, so I’m quite excited about that. After that, of course, comes Mr. Vanga’s Spirit, and I’m really excited about it. It’s a beautiful film.”

The film has generated buzz not just for its cast but also for its scale and soundtrack. Reports suggest that Sandeep Reddy Vanga and composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar have already locked the music for the film. If true, the makers appear to be aiming for a musical blockbuster, although no official word has been given on this yet.

Prabhas will play a police officer in the action drama. According to sources, director Vanga has asked the actor to provide bulk dates for the project so the shoot can proceed without major breaks. Further insights came from the director’s brother, Pranay Reddy Vanga, who briefly spoke about the timeline during an event in the United States earlier this month. He stated that Prabhas is expected to begin shooting in September 2025, aligning with the film’s production schedule.

Spirit marks a significant career move for Triptii Dimri, especially after the success of Animal, where she played a pivotal role opposite Ranbir Kapoor. With her casting in a major commercial film alongside Prabhas, Dimri continues to solidify her position in mainstream cinema.
