Going for a Diwali party and have nothing to wear? Fear not! We compiled a list of the most trending attires and looks you could try this Diwali!
For the Ladies-
Floor length anarkalis.

Anarkali is here to stay for a long time & is a safe bet this diwali. Contrasting colours, selecting from pastel hues to darker shades make for an interesting combination. (Unsafe if you are planning to light any crackers, though!)
Sarees with a modern twist.

Pinks, peaches, oranges, nude and gold are the hottest colors this festive season. You can look like a glamorous diva.. traditional yet, oh-so-stylish, wearing a saree with an interesting drape and a trendy blouse. Go sleeveless to flaunt that fit upper body or elbow sleeves & full sleeves with a low cut back for traditional yet super glamorous look .
Crop Top & Princess Skirt.

To get the edge & stand out this festive season... go experiment with floral princess skirts teamed with vibrant contrasting crop tops with a tied up bun or wavy tresses... a style that brings out the modern contemporary woman inside you. It is the hot trend on the red carpet currently & will surely make you stand out like a diva. One can experiment with the sleeves & neck of the crop top & use Indian ethnic embroidery and detailed intricate work for the skirt.
Palazzos.

It is raining palazzos this season. They were spotted during the 90's movies and are now a raging trend. You can team short or long kurti or a jacket on top of palazzo. They are neither skirts, nor trousers. They are something in between, making palazzos such a big hit with ladies of all age groups. White & black palazzos are a wardrobe must haves this season.
With so many options available for all the pretty ladies out
there, men also have turned experimental, when it comes to fashion and have
gone beyond kurta & jeans in recent times. Take cues from television
heartthrobs to match up with the divas this festive season.
For the Gentlemen-
Pathanis.

Any man can make women go weak in the knees, donning a classic pathani that dates back to Hrithik Roshan from K3G times. Though all in all black pathani is a sure shot hit, but there are plenty of options available with pathanis made from silk to khadi material. It highlights the man's broadness & gives a stern yet, charming look. You can wear pastel color pathanis over staple white churidar and begin to charm!
Embroidered Sherwanis.

Different brands have been working towards different styles of sherwanis with dhoti pants & embroidered jacket or robe like heavy overcoats. You totally dig the manyawar ads, right? This style works best for attending functions of close relatives or friends. They will never go out of style.
The Punjabi style dhoti.

You got the edge & the spunk? Punjabi style Dhoti with a kurta or a shirt ( if you're confident enough to pull it off) will definitely make you stand out from the crowd and reveal the funkiness in you. You can team it up, with heavy embroidered mojris. Perfect pick for the young ones out there trying to opt for something fusion.
Desi waistcoat/ Modi kurta!

Modi sure has inspired the entire nation, not only with his vision but also fashion! Modi jackets have become hot favourite among those who stress over comfort with style. Pick a jacket of the colour of your choice & wear it over your pathani or kurta. Also teaming the jacket with a Chinese collared shirt over denims or smart trousers are make a man look suave & classy. A pocket square will definitely up the look.
