After much a long wait, horror web series, Adhura began streaming on Amazon Prime Video only recently. And while it has a ensemble cast with varied characters, one of the key roles is played by actor Sahil Salathia.

The actor, who is best known for his characters in shows like Everest, POW - Bandi Yuddh Ke and films like Panipat sat in an exclusive conversation with us and opened up on the show, his character, taking a break and other things.

1) Tell us something about your character in 'Adhura'

First of all, I feel very fortunate to be a part of Adhura. It's a great, great series. It's the first horror series made by Amazon India about my character. The show is coming out tomorrow. Today we have the screening. So I think I want you to experience it yourself first. It's a story about these friends who come back to the reunion in their school in Ooty. What really happens there to each one of them, what really, you know, how the layers go off and that's the whole beauty of it.

2)  How different is it from the characters that you have portrayed earlier? Define your look for the audience.

Definitely. It's very different from the roles I've played earlier. In Panipat, I was playing Shamsher Bahadur, so that's a very historic, iconic character. In POW, with Nikhil Advani, I was playing a terrorist. I was the antagonist from Pakistan in Everest with Ashutosh Gowarikar,

In this series. I'm playing a urban guy. That's all I'm going to tell you. My look is very urban. It's very cool. The character has a lot of layers, though. So again, when you watch the series, It's about these five friends who go back for the reunion, like I said, and what really happens to them there and why is where the magic is.

3) We are seeing you after a long time back to the screens ? Have heard rumours that you had taken break from acting. Is it true?

To be honest, yes, I had taken a little bit of a breather in the middle because I wanted to do only things that I totally believe in. That's been my mantra since day one of my career when I started with Ashutosh Gowarikar's Everest. So I want to stick to that. So it happened like that. But now I have two releases, one is Adhura and the other one also is going to be coming out very soon, which is, which is with Viacom. So yeah.

4) How did you bag this role ? Tell us something about your association with Nikhil Advani?

I got this role because I had worked with Emmay Entertainment before on POW, so my association with them goes way back. Then one fine day, Nikkhil Advani and the team, they called me that we really want you to do this part. And this conversation happened literally almost two years back. And that's when the process started with the pre production and the readings and the homework and then we started filming about a year and a half back and now as we have delivered the product to the audience, I have got great reactions.
