Title Revealed: Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma to play Cop-Gangster in Mulshi Pattern Remake

Salman Khan will be seen on screen with his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in two consecutive films - the Mulshi Pattern remake and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. While KEKD is a family drama, Mulshi Pattern remake is the Hindi adaptation of a 2018 Marathi crime thriller film.

The Mulshi Pattern remake will see Salman and Aayush in a cat and mouse chase as the former plays a cop while Aayush will be seen stepping into the shoes of a gangster. The news of the remake had left fans excited who are eager to see the duo for the first time on screen together. 

Fans were excited to know whether the makers will carry forward the same title for the remake, and if not then what will the Hindi adaptation be called? Putting an end to all the questions, the Mulshi Pattern remake starring Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma has finally got its title and will be called ‘Dhak’.

“Many thought that the makers might call it Mulshi Pattern itself, since they have bought the official rights to the film, but they decided against it. The team has titled it Dhak which means powerful in Hindi” Pinkvilla quoted a close source as saying.

Sharing more details about the project, the trade source informs:

Salman loved the concept and the rural-urban conflict that happens when farmers, who live near the cities, sell off their lands for money and their children resort to crime when the money runs out. In Mulshi Pattern, the son (played by Om Bhutkar), becomes a cocky, arrogant gang leader but is arrested by an Inspector (played by Upendra Limaye), an honest, upright, tough cop who is out to get the gangsters and is willing to use any means for that. It’s a cat-and-mouse chase for the gangster and the cop as the latter plans various methods of nabbing the former and is finally successful.
