Time management in today’s time has become quite a task, feels Mitaali Nag. And that too for the ones who live in the metros and that too in a city like Mumbai where travel itself takes so long. The Aashiqana 2 actor talks about it.

“One has to be really blessed to be living around their workplace. Time management becomes a bit easier in such a case. Otherwise, we know how much time we spent travelling,” she adds.

Everyone is occupied in their respective careers, yet those who belong to the entertainment industry often complain about the shortage of time.

“Life is moving so fast these days that every day you have to hustle. If one is working in a daily soap then the number of hours and days required are comparatively more than any other industry. I remember when I was doing my first show, I had zero personal life. And that is what happens if you are playing lead on a TV show,” she says.

Sundays or offs don't feel like a holiday now. Thanks to communication tools like mobile phones and social media, we have forgotten where to put a full stop.

“We have now become slaves to technology, especially mobile phones. Mobile phones have replaced personal diaries, alarm clocks, and even a camera. To top it all, we now have social media, which has given a convenient platform for people to be seen and heard, and even make money. As much as life is advancing technologically, it’s taking away all the real joys of a relationship with self and others,” she explains.

Sharing two time management tips, Mitaali adds, “I try to plan ahead. Just a simple thing like what I would wear tomorrow. I keep my clothes ready the night before so that there is no rush in the morning while leaving for work. And, before leaving for work I just light a diya in my home temple and offer my prayers while listening to all the chants and slokas on the way to work in the car. It calms my mind in the morning and I do not waste travel time by unproductive scrolling.”
