Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down
- A weekly column in our News Hub - Telly Buzz that will give the
latest twists and turns in the serials brought about to capture its'
audience. A thumbs up is where the audience likes the track and a
thumbs down is where it fails to meet the expectations. So watch out
every week to see Aye and Naye By the Crazy Creatives.
Thumbs Up:
Featured Video
Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan:
Betiyaan is surely back on track and is proving to be very
entertaining. Kajri taking over the household and making Menaka pay for
all those deeds of her is truly worth-watching,although you cannot deny
that your hearts go out to Menaka. After some downfall in the creative
ideas..Betiyaan is back again to its original form.
Chhoona Hai Aasmaan:
The new show on Star One, a sequel to the once popular Saara Aakash is
surely following the lead of its predecessor. Abhimanyu's character is
definately going great guns with the ladies, and Samrat is not far
behind..his flirtatious nature comes across very well. The character of
Sameera is quite different from what we see in other shows, and comes
across well with the viewers. This new show on Star One is a definite
watch out and if you still haven't tuned your channel to this
serial...do not waste more time.
Dharti Ka Veer Yodha-Prithviraj Chauhan:
An offbeat serial, Prithviraj Chauhan has created a niche for itself.
Rajat Tokas and Mughda Chapekar had surely created an audience for
themselves and had immortalised their characters. The sudden change in
the cast and the change from bal prithviraj to yuva prithviraj has
definately come as a shock to the viewers..but nevertheless, the young
actors have done a brilliant job and this thumbs up to the serial is
all because of them.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs International:
The second season of this kids talent show has kicked off with a bang.
With
Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar adorning the judges places and those
innocent looking faces with such powerful voices that can blow you
off...this season is sure to do well.
Virrudh:
This show has had its peak and has also seen the lows but now its
definatly picking up again. Sushant and Vasudha's cute innocent romance
reaches out to the viewers. Vasudha's sudden meeting has left every
shocked and her handing over all the responsiblity to Vedika is sure
caused Vedika a little tension. A lot of loose ends that need to be
tied and what happened to Naina and what will Vasudha do next...so many
questions and answers that will surely take you by surprise.
Thumbs Down:
Rakhi:
This show does not catch the eye of the viewers and the story line is
not exceptional either.Raja's decidion to not bring Nilima home and
Nandini's 'rakhi ki kasam' brekas him to agree to bring her home but
for that he has to face insults from dadi and Aryan...nothin going in
the correct path for the serial.
Kaajjal:
The new entry of Rakshanda Khan in the serial might cause it to come
out of its depressing dullness... but till now it hasnt changed it.
Hoping to see some improvement in this show as at one time..this show
had the juice and the matter to make it big.
Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni:
This show has faded off with time.. a unique concept that it had
started with is lost now in the battles of stealing other people's love
away. Conflicts and misunderstandings between Raj-Sudha and Ria's
constant tries..nothing is working in the favour of the serial.
Raavan:
The weekend slot for this mythological serial seems to be non-existent.
Based on the life of Raavan, a name that is often associated with evil
has not been able to get itself loyal viewers. It has come across as a
disappointment on how the producers of the show have not been able to
capitalise on such a fascinating story.
Four:
The journey of four friends that it started with..it still stands with
the tag of 'the journey of four friends'..only that now this journey
has become monotonous and it is very easy to pick up your remote and
change the channel while your watching it. Although the last episode
was surely a treat if you've been loyal to it and have seen every
episode till date. Though I would like to applaud the producers of the
show for having the ending right on time and not stretching it long for
years...for if it wouldnt have ended it would have sure saved itself a
spot in the thumbs down column week after week.
