THIS Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma actress joins Shagun Pandey's upcoming show 'Saru'

Shagun Pandey and Mohak Matkar's upcoming show 'Saru' on Zee TV is all set to premiere within a few days. The promo of the same was released a few days ago and it created widespread buzz. While only Mohak as the female lead of the show was revealed in the said promo, India Forums has learnt of some more exclusive scoop on the cast of the upcoming show.

Well, Iqra Shaikh, known for her stint in shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, Meri Saas Bhoot Hai, Prem Leela and more is all set to enter the show and will be seen essaying a pivotal role too. The actress will be seen essaying a negative character in the Shagun-Mohak starrer. India Forums got in touch with Iqra to speak about the same and the actress confirmed the news. Speaking to us about the show and her character, Iqra revealed a few character details too.

Expressing her excitement on bagging the show, the actress says, ''I believe this show has something for everyone, and I'm excited to see how it connects with the audience.''

''My character's name in the show is Kajol and it is a negative character. I will be with Anushka Merchant who is playing a negative lead in the show,'' Iqra further says.

On the work front, the actress was last seen in Dangal TV's 'Prem Leela.' She has also been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma and is seen essaying the character of Priya, who is Sonu's friend on the show.

The story of Saru revolves around a girl from a small village who dreams of making it big in life and going to a city to pursue her higher education. However, she is met with hurdles from her own family and her path towards her dreams is not an easy one.
