This is true good cinema: Orignal 'Jersey' star Nani appreciates Shahid & team for the remake

Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor, has released in theatres today. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the actor's return to action after over three years since the film's first teaser was released last year. While the film's release had been delayed several times, D-Day has finally arrived. The film's producers hosted a star-studded screening on Thursday, which was attended by the who's who of B'Town.

After seeing the remake on Friday, Nani, who played the lead in the Telugu version, came to Twitter to applaud Shahid and the whole team.

He wrote, 

“Watched #Jersey and our @gowtam19 again hit it out of the park. What performances and heart.@shahidkapoor @mrunal0801 #PankajKapoor sir and my boy Ronit. This is true good cinema.Congratulations.”

Well, the biggest compliment Shahid Kapoor can receive is words of praise from the original 'Jersey' star.

Earlier, his pals and Bollywood celebrities Varun Dhawan, Kunal Kemmu, Kiara Advani, Ishaan Khatter, and his wife Meera Rajput Kapoor lauded the Kabir Singh actor.

Filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri directed both the original film and the Hindi version. 'Jersey' is about Arjun (Shahid Kapoor), a failing cricketer who resolves to pursue his ambition of playing for Team India for the sake of his son. Mrunal Thakur portrays his wife, while Pankaj Kapur portrays the instructor who never doubted Kapoor's abilities.
