There are mothers who have also told me that they would want a damaad like me - Jay Soni

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Jay Soni has recently been getting alot of appreciation for his character on the show in the most amusing way. 

Mother's and elder women who are regular viewers of the show have infact been sending the actor rishtaas for their daughters and have even conveyed to Jay that they want a damaad like him. 

Jay shares, "After playing the role of Abhinav on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai, it has been surprising to see the love and admiration coming in for me in the form of rishtaas from older women for their daughters. There are mothers who have also told me that they would want a damaad like me. I really have hearty laughs over these instances, but at the end of the day it also gives me satisfaction to see that people are truly connecting with my character".

Speaking about how the show has benefitted him in every way, " I think typically be it OTT, TV or films, if I get a good role I will definitely do it. By taking up Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai, my decision to take up the show was proven absolutely correct. This was a definitely a wise decision. The kind of love and exposure that I'm getting is a huge deal for me because it's a very big platform and I am so happy things fell into place. I have full trust in the whole team and Rajan sir that they will do the best with my character". 

"Being part of such a big show franchise that has been running on screen for over a decade now feels great. I am grateful that this opportunity has only given me immense growth in every aspect.
