"The story of the show was appealing and different from saas bahu saga" - Abhishek Rawat

Actor Abhishek Rawat who was absent from the TV screens for quite sometime now is coming back with a new show Bhatak le na Bawrey. He will be seen in a different role in this romantic saga.

Abhishek Rawat is back on the small screen after a long hiatus. The actor was seen in Star Plus' Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya and in Sony TV's Dekha Ek Khwaab. The actor will be now seen on the screen with a new show Bhatak le na Bawrey on Life OK.

Talking about the show, Abhishek says, "The show is based in Lucknow city and it's about young people's dream and aspirations. I'm playing Mukund who is a writer and director. I really liked the story of this show which is written by Nilesh Mishra and looking forward for it."

Elaborating on the story line, he avers, "Mukund believes that one doesn't have to go to big cities and fulfill their dream. We can do it in our own city as well. Thus he wants to become a big play writer and director but in Lucknow itself. He does get lot of good opportunities but his character chooses to stay in the city and do whatever he could do to fulfill his wish."

Vinita Joshi Thakkar is cast opposite me in the show and she is playing the role of a singer. It's not a saas-bahu saga but a romantic story and this is one of the reasons that I signed the show. You'll see a lot of Lucknowi andaaz when it comes to talking or living which is different," he adds.

When asked Abhishek whether the show is slated to go on air from 15th June or not, he says, "I don't know the dates but yes the show will go on air from the second week of June. Also the time slot is yet to be decided as the channel doesn't want to disturb the schedule of its on going shows. So let's see what happens."

What kept Abhishek busy all this while? He says, "Well I've done a film for Rajita Sharma called 'Pidepiper' which will be releasing soon. I had also done a film for Nagesh Kukunoor 'Yeh Hosla' two years back but have heard that it will be releasing this year. So awaiting for my two films to release."
