Women’s friendships are like a renewable source of power. And who doesn’t like seeing a woman cheering for another? These make for beautiful stories of camaraderie and bonds. To experience the journey of 7 such women from different backgrounds, tune into Sony LIV’s next multilingual original, ‘Wonder Women’. The movie will be streaming from 18th November only on Sony LIV.

The film narrates the story of six pregnant women, who arrive at a pre-natal class with beliefs, confusion, and questions regarding pregnancy and childbirth. In their quest to know it all, they discover their identity and answers to their deep-rooted problems.

Amruta Subhash plays Jaya, a conservative Maharashtrian woman who has travelled with her husband to Kerala for treatment. While talking about her role and experience of shooting with her real-life husband, she said, “Jaya is a strong woman, but her strength is hidden inside. She is very much dependent on her husband for everything at the beginning. But things start changing for her as she moves to Kerala for treatment. However, what made the role unique for me was the fact that my reel and real husband are the same in this movie. And I want to thank Anjali Menon for this! The experience of working with my husband Sandesh Kulkarni, was very different as we have known each other for so long. Coming together for a movie brings our picture-perfect chemistry on screen for the viewers to cherish. We are looking forward to an amazingly positive response to the movie on Sony LIV.”

Written and directed by Anjali Menon and produced by RSVP Flying Unicorn Entertainment along with Little Films Productions, this film features Nitya Menen, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Amruta Subhash, Nadiya Moidu, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Sayanora Philip, Archana Padmini in prominent roles. The story of these women is filmed in English with touches of Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
