The SENSIBLE decision would have been to continue 'Bepannaah' ONLINE; here's why

Colors channel is going in for major programming changes from tomorrow as it launches Tantra and Vish Ya Amrit - Sitara goes on air next week. Both of them belong to the supernatural genre and the trend of the same continues to get bigger and bigger.

However, these shows coming in means Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka going off the television, but continuing on Voot, the channel's web platform while Bepannaah will be calling it a wrap.

The decision to continue with Silsila being on the web is actually a great one, but why is Bepannaah shutting down completely makes no sense overall.

In terms of absolute numbers, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka actually fared lower than Bepannaah overall, and the former struggled with numbers a lot more than the latter. But, Silsila is now given a fresh breath of air as the show will continue to air on Voot as it has been faring a lot better online. So, if Silsila is given a chance, why Bepannaah can't?

The ardent viewers of the show would know how Bepannaah has constantly not only been a part of the rating charts, but also top it on one instance or the other. So, if a lesser performing Silsila is given a chance on web, continuing Bepannaah on web would only have made perfect sense.

The trend of a daily soap continuing on web is relatively new and the monetary factors involved in it are a huge risk for sure. Dil Hi Toh Hai began it in a way that year as the show's second season is being planned only for Alt Balaji, and now Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka will be the same on Voot. So, why does a star-studded show like Bepannaah, who continues to fare well online not continue on the platform, I fail to understand.

Let's admit it. Indian TV is filled with pathetic shows which have either been running for really long or just continue to be on-air inspite of being atrocious. Bepannaah is certainly a flawed show with a lot of problems, but it has never been a bad show that shouldn't been given a chance to continue on another platform.
