The SENSIBLE decision would have been to continue 'Bepannaah' ONLINE; here's why

Going off-air isn't what makes sense...

Colors channel is going in for major programming changes from tomorrow as it launches Tantra and Vish Ya Amrit - Sitara goes on air next week. Both of them belong to the supernatural genre and the trend of the same continues to get bigger and bigger.

However, these shows coming in means Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka going off the television, but continuing on Voot, the channel's web platform while Bepannaah will be calling it a wrap.

The decision to continue with Silsila being on the web is actually a great one, but why is Bepannaah shutting down completely makes no sense overall.

Silsila fared LESSER, still given a chance

In terms of absolute numbers, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka actually fared lower than Bepannaah overall, and the former struggled with numbers a lot more than the latter. But, Silsila is now given a fresh breath of air as the show will continue to air on Voot as it has been faring a lot better online. So, if Silsila is given a chance, why Bepannaah can't?

Bepannaah has actually been a constant member of the online charts

The ardent viewers of the show would know how Bepannaah has constantly not only been a part of the rating charts, but also top it on one instance or the other. So, if a lesser performing Silsila is given a chance on web, continuing Bepannaah on web would only have made perfect sense.

Adapting to the trend

The trend of a daily soap continuing on web is relatively new and the monetary factors involved in it are a huge risk for sure. Dil Hi Toh Hai began it in a way that year as the show's second season is being planned only for Alt Balaji, and now Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka will be the same on Voot. So, why does a star-studded show like Bepannaah, who continues to fare well online not continue on the platform, I fail to understand.

Never a BAD show

Let's admit it. Indian TV is filled with pathetic shows which have either been running for really long or just continue to be on-air inspite of being atrocious. Bepannaah is certainly a flawed show with a lot of problems, but it has never been a bad show that shouldn't been given a chance to continue on another platform.

That's what Colors wanted, to keep milking Bepannaah. Not necessarily what was best for Harshad Chopda and Jennifer Winget.

Voot is not as popular as Netflix or Prime, so in a way i'm happy the idea was rejected.

Uhhh,I don't if this was supposed to be a fan rant or something of that sort but this definitely isn't a well researched article or a well thought opinion piece for that matter.

I'll admit I have never seen Bepanaah but I do know that it very popular online. I see clips and gifs and VMs and fanclubs all over social media. So yes it doesnt make sense that it didn't get digital extension.

BUUUT...why drag Silsila into it? Is your show so weak that your have to look down another show to make case for your favorite show.

Happy its not on voot. Now colors can't interfere with the show and don't deserve show like Bepannaah.

Bepannah is far better than the trash SBRK!!!!

At least the heroine moves on in it unlike the dumb heroine in SBRK where she is coming back to her cheating husband!!!!

Who even wants SBRK to continue?? All want it to end!!!!

I wish log adha show dekh ke full show ya character pe gyan n baatein. Faults rahe hai par dusre shows se compare karein to it is much better, at least mere nazarye mei.

ITV doesn't deserve shows like Bepannaah and that's it..the only wrong decision of Bepannaah team was to approach a channel who doesn't know the abcd of professionalism.. Harshad Chopda and Jennifer Winget gave a memorable performance as AdiYa and will stay in our heart forever.

All the characters of Bepannaah had many layers to dm. Some were understood n some were not. Loved Bepannaah either way n loved Jennifer Winget as Zoya.

cv's ruined it big time ..
stars were great script was good ..
the day they showed zoya saying pavitra pyar about pooja-yash that was the downfall ...
zoya role itself was irritating (not referring to jennifer she enacted so well )and actors were wasted in illogical story which was crap but still loved harshad chopda and jenny hope to see them onscreen or in web series
