Tere Liye unit unaffected by new CINTAA rule?

As per the new rule passed by the CINTAA (Cine and TV Artists Association), no unit member can work for more than 12 hours, and this includes actors of the television and Bollywood films.

While the actors in the telly land are very happy about this particular development, we hear that the unit of Star Plus and Balaji Telefilms' Tere Liye falls under an exception as they do not follow this rule.

Our source tells us, "There is no proper pack-up on the sets of Tere Liye, even after the working hours stipulated for the day is over. Even though few in the unit like the camera men, light men etc are changed after the 12 hour shift, the actors involved in the show never get a breather. They always end up working for more than 12 hours and are deprived of the liberty set by CINTAA. Even though there is a restriction to the number of shifts as per the CINTAA rule, it does not apply to the unit of Tere Liye".

When contacted, Anupriya Kapoor the protagonist of Tere Liye states, "Yes, it is true that we work bit longer. We work on shift basis, and the production house takes good care of the actors. So it is not an issue to work late".

Ask her about the rule set by CINTAA, and that many other shows follow the pattern of not working for more than 12 hours, Anupriya quickly says, "I don't know about the shows that follow this rule. As far as we are concerned, we are doing our responsibility as actors. All that matters to us is our production house and the actors' comfort".

We tried calling Harshad Chopra too for a comment on the same, but he remained unavailable.

Guess this is a matter of concern for the actors and the unit members woh work non-stop!!
