Actress Sumati Singh is perfectly cutting the arc with her acting as 'Kirti' in the daily soap 'Kismat Ki Lakiro Se.' She is also known for her roles in shows such as ‘Roop-Mard Ka Naya Swaroop’ and ‘Amma Ke Babu Ki Baby. She has come a long way, with her hard work and nuanced acting skills, but apart from that the diva is also very humble and down to earth. On the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, Sumati shares her childhood memories from the Republic Day celebration.

Talking about how India's rich history and cultural diversity inspire her, Sumati says, “India is a diverse nation with various cultures, languages, dresses, and foods. We all stay together, celebrating each other, which is a blessing. I believe this diversity, with different festivals and the opportunity to learn about various cultures, makes India truly unique.”

Opening up about the role that the entertainment industry plays in promoting the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, she says, “I believe the entertainment industry plays a vital role in India. Cinema and cricket, in particular, hold significant influence and inspire people deeply. The emotional connection Indians have with these platforms makes them powerful tools for inspiration. Given that 90 per cent of people believe in what is portrayed, our work in the industry contributes significantly to the values embedded in the Indian Constitution.”

Revealing her childhood memories of celebrating Republic Day, Sumati says, “Participating in school events like drama and dance, especially during Republic Day and Independence Day, holds a special place in my heart. One standout memory is when I played the role of 'Bharat Mata' in a school play on the occasion of Republic Day. The excitement surrounding this experience was even more profound for my parents. It became a pivotal moment in my life, making it my favourite childhood memory of celebrating Republic Day.”

She concludes by conveying a message to the readers on Republic Day, says, “India is an amazing country, and our soldiers and freedom fighters have made numerous sacrifices for our freedom. It's crucial to always respect and appreciate their efforts, as we enjoy the privilege of living in a safe and free nation because of them. Following rules and contributing positively is our responsibility to uphold the values they fought for. Let's implement this commitment for a better India. Jai Hind! Wishing everyone a very happy Republic Day.”
