The legend Pran Kishan Sikand who is very popularly known as
Pran Saab of the Indian cinema, created a mark in the industry with his acting
skills. Popular for his roles in movies like Zanjeer, Don, Purab aur
Paschim among the endless numbers of movies that he has done in his work career
of nearly 6 decades speaks volumes for him. Not only as a Villain but he was
very much appreciated in positive and comic roles too. Along with Hindi movies
he has also done Punjabi movies. His hard work also made him win many awards for the spectacular performances that he portrayed onscreen.
Losing a legend like him is a big loss for Indian Cinema. He was an entertainer in true sense for the viewers. Through his flawless performance he has left an indelible mark in the history of the Indian cinema and the viewers.
We got in touch with few of the telly town celebs and producers who were a die hard fan of Pran Saab to speak a few words on his sad demise.
Here is what they had to say…
JD Majethia - Producer of Hats Off Production and an Actor. Pran Saab was one of my favorite actor from
the Bollywood Industry. He has left a mark in the industry with his spectacular
acting skills and especially as a villain. I totally respect and admire him for
his work.
I have a story to say - As a child nobody wanted to become Pran because
he was a villain and so was the same with me. As a child I along with my
friends used to play a filmy drama game and we used to act like the characters
from the movies. Once we took the movie Johnny Mera Naam. My friend used to
always make me Pran and I always wanted to become Dev Anand. He used to keep
asking me "Kya hai tera Naam?" and I used to say Johnny (Dev Anand) ,
but he wanted me to become Mohan (Pran Saab). Once we had a fight on the same
and I fell down the ladder and I injured my chin. I got 6 stitches under my
chin because of the fall. I still have the mark of it.
But slowly I started liking his work very much in his movies Upkar,
Purab aur Paschim, Kasauti, Dostana and many more. I just love all his movies
and I have watched them too. I loved his acting in the movie Guddi, he was just
very much spectacular in that. He is one of the finest human being I have seen. I am a
big Pran Saab Fan. My favorite song that I used to keep humming was 'Bolege Ki
Bologe Ki Bolta Hai'. So also I used to keep singing the song 'Teri Hassi Ki
Kimeet Kya Hai' for my buddy Aatish Kapadia.
He was a legend, a gem of the cinema industry. He was unbelievable and
unpredictable in regards to acting. Flawless acts and a treat to the eye for
the viewers. He has worked for almost six decades as an actor. Love and Respect
for him always. May his soul rest in peace.

Hiten Tejwani seen in Pavitra Rishta and Savdhaan India
Pran saab was one of the finest actor in Bollywood. His passing away is a great loss for the Indian cinema. I just loved all his movies but my personal favorite were Zanjeer and Kaalia. I loved the song Yaari Hai Imaan Mera Yaar Meri Zindagi from the movie Zanjeer. He will always be remembered for the spectacular work he did in the acting field.
Adaa Khan seen in Amrit Manthan Pran Saab was a legend. The very first villain of the industry. His acting skills and perfection made each character lively. He was amazing in comedy too and positive roles. The best part was people liked seeing him in all the shades of acting. He made villains fashionable and also made us realise that just like goodness, evil too is an integral part of life. The fact that he portrayed this dark side so efficiently onscreen made him even more special. He was just phenomenal in the movie Zanjeer. So also I just love his dialogue 'Train mein cigarette pina mana hai' and the way he said 'Barkhordaar'. I was really shocked when I heard the news about the sad demise. May his soul rest in peace.
Siddharth Shukla seen in Balika VadhuHe was truly a legend. A man who cannot be forgotten. He will always stay in the heart of people. Right from childhood, I have been watching his movies and his flawless performance. His movie Zanjeer was just iconic. His character Sherkhaan was just amazing, the way he portrayed the character was just mind blowing. So also in the movies Don and Amar Akbar Anthony among many other movies. I can keep praising him and his work. I feel it is a great loss for Indian Cinema to lose a gem like Pran Saab.
May the Legend Pran Saab's Soul Rest In Peace.
Krishma Solanki.
