Tanuj Virwani: When I was offered Abhay 3, it was a no brainer for me

After two successful and critically acclaimed seasons, Abhay franchise has created its own niche in the thriller genre and now, with the premiere date set as 8th April, the wait is over for Season 3. Directed by Ken Ghosh and produced by Zee Studios, Abhay S3 stars Kunal Kemmu, Asha Negi and Nidhi Singh in returning roles. 

Talking about choosing the Zee5 series, Tanuj Virwani, who is a new addition to the show, told India Forums

I have been a fan of the show since season one. Also, this was an opportunity to work closely with Ken Ghosh sir. In fact, very few people know that I was an assistant director, a clapper boy on one of his films many years ago. So, when I was offered Abhay 3, it was a no brainer for me. I have never done anything in a similar space before, so this was an exciting opportunity. 

He added,

Additionally, to be under the guidance of Ken sir, to be making this series for ZEE5, to get the opportunity to work with my lovely friend and co-star Divya Agarwal who had already collaborated with me on Cartel and of course, Kunal Kemmu who is a fantastic actor and I have be a fan of his work ever since I saw Zakhm, all of these factors made me say yes to this project and I’m so glad that it worked out.

Apart from Tanuj, Vijay Raaz, Rahul Dev, Vidya Malvade, and Divya Agarwal have also joined the thriller as new cast members.
