Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah maker Asit Kumarr Modi refutes news of Dilip Joshi and Munmum Dutta's exit

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, one of the most popular and longest-running shows of Indian TV has seen more than its fair share of controversies. From non-payment of dues to allegations of sexual harassment, the makers have faced it all. Of late, fans missed seeing Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta on the show. They wondered if the two had exit the series after years of entertaining us as Jethalal and Babita. He told a media channel that they were very much a part of TMKOC. Asit Kumarr Modi said due to personal reasons they were unable to devote time to the series. He said rumours of them leaving are baseless.

The producer also said that social media thrives on negative news in present times. Modi said no one believes in something good or positive. He said Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a family show, which spreads happiness. Modi said fans should view the show in a positive manner. He said media has a habit of spreading gossip and rumours. Asit Kumarr Modi said it is not a nice thing. The chemistry between Babita Ji and Jethalal is one of the high points of the show. Both of them are with the show since years now.

He said that he takes every feedback about the show very seriously. Modi said the show is made by its audience. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is based on the Gujarati column, 'Duniya Ne Undha Chashma'. Actress Disha Vakani played the part of Daya Ben on the show. Her long absence was a matter of much debate. The duo of Jethalal and Daya was loved by fans.
