Love him or hate him, but you can't ignore Kabir Singh. The film is an official remake of south film Arjun Reddy and it has been equally controversial. But, many have claimed that Arjun Reddy is better than the remake.

The films definitely made a lot of noise but it has been the hottest controversy and one of the most trending topics in the history of Indian Cinema. The characters have mired a lot of controversies but in the end, they were successful.

Kabir Singh made its impact and there’s no denying despite being roped into controversy Shahid Kapoor offered his best performance.

Several Bollywood actresses like Alia Bhatt, Yami Gautam, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar came together for Round Table conference.

They were quizzed about the male-centric films of Bollywood, and Taapsee instantly reacted to the same and that after watching Vijay Deverakonda starrer Arjun Reddy she decided to not watch Kabir Singh.

Previously, Mumbai Mirror asked Taapsee about Kabir Singh to which she said;

Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy are not the only films glorifying misogyny, there are several others too but not to this extent. That is one of the reasons why I do the kind of films I do, there should be a counter-narrative too.

She had further compared Kabir Singh with Manmarziyaan and had said, “She was probably not a female Kabir Singh, but Manmarziyaan’s Rumi Bagga was a flawed character too and ended up losing her love and getting divorced. The same misogynist people who didn’t see a problem with Kabir, booed Rumi. We aren’t oblivious to the double standards of our society.”
