Taapsee Pannu : Best scripts in the industry with a female protagonist come to me

Taapsee Pannu has previously expressed her appreciation for the roles and screenplays she has been able to secure as a female lead. Taapsee will play the lead in a new Indian homage to the 1998 German film Run Lola Run. The film, titled Looop Lapeta, will be available for streaming on Netflix for the first time later this week. 

Taapsee expressed gratitude for being offered major roles in the majority of her projects, adding that she had 'no complaints' about the opportunities she had been given. According to Taapsee, there have been scripts written specifically for her. 

I am glad that I am getting central roles, I can unabashedly say that some of the best scripts in the industry with a female protagonist come to me, and I am not going to be modest about it. People come to me and tell me ‘this is written for you’, that’s the kind of situation I have no complaints about.

She also stated,

But it is not because I wanted to be the center of attention but because it just so happened, maybe we can call it the snowball effect for doing the kind of films that I have done and I am happy to be where I am today. I have no complaints either way.

She rose to prominence after appearing in Akshay Kumar's film Baby. Based on the positive feedback she received for her performance, Neeraj Pandey created a spin-off for her character called Naam Shabana. 

Talking about work, Rashmi Rocket and Haseen Dillruba are two of Taapsee's most recent films. She will next be seen in Looop Lapeta by Aakash Bhatia.. Taapsee (the protagonist's girlfriend) embarks on an exciting journey to save her boyfriend from a perilous situation in the story (Tahir Raj Bhasin).
