Sushmita Sen on not getting married: I had met some men, they were all disappointments

Sushmita Sen, a former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress, recently made an appearance on Twinkle Khanna's show Tweak. During their conversation, they touched on topics of love, marriage, children, adoption, men, and poor decisions.

Sushmita mentioned during the discussion that although her children were her first concern, she never got married since the men in her life let her down; this had nothing to do with her kids. She also discussed her life's "mistakes," saying she never "bullshit" about them and that she had no regrets about any of them. She admitted outright that she lives her mistakes.

Twinkle brought up the subject of marriage and questioned her as to whether it was challenging to find love again after adopting her children or whether it had no bearing on her life. The former Universe replied, that after she adopted Renee, there was never another man who entered her life who didn't understand what her priorities were. 

She further quoted, 

"I mean, I don't expect anyone to share the burden, but you can't ask me to abdicate. Up until a certain age, my daughter needs me. Fortunately, I had met some really interesting men during my life; nevertheless, they were all disappointments, which is the sole reason I never got married. My children were not involved in any way."

She further affirmed children were never considered, and if they were, they were quite kind. They have welcomed everyone into her life with open arms, never made a facial expression, and treated everyone equally with love and respect. 

She remarked,

 "Three times, I was just about to get married, but God intervened. I am unable to tell you what tragedy befell each person's life. God delivered my family and me."

Sushmita split up with her lover Rohman Shawl in 2018 after they had met through Instagram DMs. They are still close friends today.
