In a shocking turn of events, Former Foreign Minister and  Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has left for heavenly abode. A few minutes ago, passed away at the AIIMS hospital.

Reportedly, the BJP veteran suffered a massive heart attack after which she was rushed to the AIIMS hospital, Delhi, where she was declared dead. She was 67.

This news has shocked the whole nation as a few hours back, late in the evening today, at around 7:30 pm she posted a message thanking the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi about the government’s move on Kashmir stating that she was waiting for this day in her lifetime.

Check out her Tweet here:

Sushma Swaraj had been loved and adored by many. She was a woman who always went out of her way and helped everyone. She was the most prominent woman face of the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, she did not contest the recently held Lok Sabha elections in which the party won with a massive majority. Last November, she had announced she would not contest the general elections.

Swaraj was perhaps the most 'millennial' minister the Indian government has ever had. From being tagged the 'supermom' of India by Washington Post to becoming one of the most-followed politicians on Twitter, the late external affairs minister had truly struck a chord with young and old alike with her round-the-clock social media presence, eagerness to help, and ready wit on social media.

We pray for her departed soul to rest in peace.

Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, many ministers including our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, etc. expressed shock and extended their heartfelt condolences. Here's what they have to say:

"Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi wrote a heartfelt lengthy message for her which reads:

A glorious chapter in Indian politics comes to an end. India grieves the demise of a remarkable leader who devoted her life to public service and bettering lives of the poor. Sushma Swaraj Ji was one of her kind, who was a source of inspiration for crores of people.

Sushma Ji was a prolific orator and outstanding Parliamentarian. She was admired and revered across party lines.

She was uncompromising when it came to matters of ideology and interests of the BJP, whose growth she immensely contributed to.

An excellent administrator, Sushma Ji set high standards in every Ministry she handled. She played a key role in bettering India’s ties with various nations. As a Minister we also saw her compassionate side, helping fellow Indians who were in distress in any part of the world.

I can’t forget the manner in which Sushma Ji worked tirelessly as EAM in the last 5 years. Even when her health was not good, she would do everything possible to do justice to her work and remain up to date with matters of her Ministry. The spirit and commitment was unparalleled.

Sushma Ji’s demise is a personal loss. She will be remembered fondly for everything that she’s done for India. My thoughts are with her family, supporters and admirers in this very unfortunate hour. Om Shanti."

@bashers one thing i dont understans where do you find us abusing ? second you have chosen to be ignorant so no one can drag you into the light.third i never said that pakistanis have perfect rulers but they are definitely way better in case of minorities ,it is america who needed pakistan during afghan war not us who invited america ,it is china who finds pakistan more peaceful and yeh we always raise voice for chinese muslims too but the thing is china is not like india that he runs away from dialogue moreover those muslims are not living in a disputed land ,kashmir issue is a totally different issue.its a disputed land no one has any right on it yeh but kahmiris have their right to decide which india doesnt want to give because they know in that case kashmiris will choose pakistan.
its a basic rule of democtacy that when you make or scrap a law you discuss it with the people you debate on it then you implement it,example is brexit issue in uk . and your pm didnt even discussed it in parliment before announcing it,
and as far as you said unlike cshafkat i cant take criticism, may be you are right but we are all muslim and one thing is commom in us is we can differentiate between wrong and right and we love eachother.bcshafkat has given you very apt.answers read those carefully and try to open your eyes .

What democracy Indians are talking about? They didn't do a single referendum, didn't do any discussion on this issue and scrapped a whole article from their constitution. In which democracy it happens, their media and ministers tell lies and they are so obvious but they easily make fool of them, and Yeh one question I always ask them they lick the feet of Americans then they don't mind that these white people also eat cow, white people are like gods to them but Muslims are bad becoz they sacrifice and eat Cows, true hypocrates are called Hindus.

@basherz That incident was during the release of My Name Is Khan when India had banned Pakistani players from IPL. The reason why SRK remains quiet is because when he decides to speak up, the media twists his words and make him look like the bad guy. That’s why he remains quiet. I remember he once said that the youngsters in India are a bit intolerant and hot blooded. Next thing you see the media twisting the words and labeling him as anti-national. Aamir Khan’s wife once said that she doesn’t feel safe in India and then next thing you see he was targeted and his movies received so much negative publicity. Some politicians even filed a sedation charge against him. Whereas people easily seem to forget how Amitabh Bachchan openly supported the government in 1984 against the Sikhs. He openly shouted “khoon ka badla
khoon se lenge”. Sadly a lot of people tend to forget it simply because he has done KBC and in some sort redeemed himself in the eyes of certain people.

@basherz ISIS was created by the US government. When Saddam Hussain was in power, the US government sponsored a rebel group to overthrow him and that group became ISIS. Osama Bin Laden was recruited by the US government and trained by the CIA. Hell
he even visited the White House. You can still find the photo of him in the White House on the internet. The US government handpicked him to go after the Soviet Union when they were invading Afghanistan. All these terrorist groups are a product of USA. Islam has been around for more than 1400 years. Terrorism started about 30 years ago when the west started invading the Middle East for oil. Had the Americans not invaded and bombarded Iraq in search of weapons of mass destruction, there wouldn’t be any terrorists today. The Middle East is a hellhole because of USA. Africa is in so much poverty because of colonizers. One of my uncles used to work in Libya. He had to leave the job because of the turmoil done by US government starting with the killing of Muammar Ghadafi. Even Donald Trump himself admitted that Iraq’s situation is because of Bush and his cronies. Those who kill people in the name of religion are not people I would ever show any respect to. Now coming to SRK’s
movies, My Name Is Khan definitely received flak because SRK had spoken in favour of a Pakistani cricket player. Those movies I mentioned may have released in different times but they all have one thing in common. They portray the Muslim as villains. I hardly know about any movie with a radical brahmin as the villain which got appreciation. When Aamir Khan made PK, he received a lot of boycott because of exposing all the false priests. The industry maybe dominated by Muslims but that is mainly because their lifestyle isn’t like normal Muslims. They are all non religious people who don’t care much for religion.

@basherz I will say this again since you didn’t understand. I don’t hate anyone. I hate only those who are oppressing innocent people. And how exactly would you know that I’m just sitting online and abusing? No one is forced to chant “jai shree ram”? Really? Are you really that naive? Don’t you watch the news? Read up on the case of Tabrez Ansari. See how badly he was beaten to death. First they accused him of theft but couldn’t prove it so they tied him up and kept him like that for an entire night and mercilessly beat him
forcing him to chant. He refused and then got killed. That’s just one incident. There are many more like that. But it happened in a state that you obviously didn’t live in so yeah you wouldn’t be aware of it. If it’s just one incident then it wouldn’t be on the news. Even some celebrities have decided to speak up against it. Even though their concern means nothing to me. Most rapists are walking around freely. The main culprit in the Nirbhaya case is still alive and working somewhere in Southern India simply because
he was under 18 at that time. If Indians wanted a break from the previous corrupt government, then why did they elect an even more corrupt government? The facts remain. Lots of criminals get away with their power. Salman Khan is still making movies. Narendra Modi is your country’s
prime minister. Yogi Adityanath is the chief minister of a state. This man openly ordered for the dead bodies of Muslim women to be raped. Even though you don’t support these criminals, the fact is that they are in power because they got voted there. The majority voted for them and made them leaders.

@basherz I condemn all sorts of discrimination whether it’s against someone’s religion ethnicity or gender. In fact I live in a country where people live together freely without any discrimination. I am well aware of the situation in Pakistan. But Pakistan is not the topic of discussions here. I know there are good and bad in every religion but it’s only the evil ones that are governing your country. The things you mentioned are pretty small in number. The ones I have met aren’t some idiots from stupid families. They were graduates from good universities yet couldn’t find a cure for their radicalism. I’m stating facts. The only reason you’re taking offence is because deep down inside you know what I’m saying is true. Just look at your movies. You guys always make the Muslims the villain in your so called patriotic movies. Examples are Pukaar, Zameen, Vishwaroop, Uri, Baby, Holiday, etc. You think these movies won’t have an impact on the audience? But when a movie depicting a brahmin as a villain is released, everyone loses their shit! Wait until another SRK movie releases. All of a suden the patriotism within every Indian wakes up at that time and they decide to boycott his movies. Just because you have those good things in your country doesn’t mean there isn’t any bad things. I have nothing against any religion. One of my best friends is a hindu but unlike you he actually admits to all the wrongdoings in his country.

@basherz I don’t hate anyone. I’m just someone who knows what the truth is. I’m not using religion as an excuse but I’m definitely stating facts. Hypocrites like you are the ones who get triggered. When a group of people are facing trouble due to their religion, and someone points that out, you call them religious fanatic. Just because of my religion you’re labeling me a fanatic. You can’t prove me wrong on what’s going on in your country. Tell me something. Why are people being threatened to chant “jai shree ram”? Why are they being killed for that? Why is beef banned in certain states? Why is a criminal like Yogi Adityanath elected as a leader? Why is a radical fascist the prime minister of your country? Why are rape victims treated like outcasts? Why are rapists roaming freely? If you were even half as civilized as you claim then you would at least admit to all the wrongdoings in your country. But instead of that you’re trying to present examples of how there is only good in your country. You are part of the problem.

@basherz LOL do you hear yourself? Civilized manner eh? So now turning a blind eye to injustice is called “civilized manner” now? So that’s exactly what your teachers taught you. Your hypocrisy is clearly showing. I don’t need a dictionary but you do need a reality check. Why don’t you open your eyes and come out of your small shell and see how things really are? Your politicians are fooling you guys on a daily basis and you are giving in to that. I can see you have absolutely no knowledge of reality. You think what you see in some families is the truth. The reality is that Indians don’t like minorities. So many riots happened that history is a witness to that. But obviously you have no knowledge of that. You think just because nothing has happened to you or anyone around you, there’s nothing going on. The only one with a biased view is you. Those who deny the truth like you are part of the problem. I have done enough research and I have even lived in India for 2 years to understand how terrible it is. So there you just lost. Just because you see some small incidents of muslims taking care of hindu temples doesn’t hide the fact that the majority of hindus are hateful towards minorities. Otherwise none of the riots would have happened. Why should beef be banned in any state? Why should the government dictate people on what to eat and what not to eat? You’re clearly missing the big picture here. You fail to see what really happens and you choose to remain in your shell and think no one is suffering. Remain in your dreamy world. I know very well about normal Indians because we have a lot of them here. They spread their filth and hatred in other countries too so there you lost again. At least I can present real facts unlike you.

@basherz Speaking the truth gets me labeled as fanatic but I don’t care. Filthy language? LOL you Indians never cease to amuse me. Minorities are being harassed, an entire state is under siege with all their leaders placed under house arrest and their civilians are losing lives for no reason yet you’re crying about me using filthy language? Wow just wow!! Just because I’m stating facts, you think IF should have banned me eh? People like you are part of the problem. When someone speaks the truth, you think they’re using filthy language and should be banned. Yup I got my answer. You wanna remain ignorant to the truth? Then sure be like that. I won’t waste my time trying to educate you anymore.

@basherz I will have to teach you since you’re so ignorant of the plight of minorities in India. You can’t prove me wrong that’s why you’re unable to present any facts. My buck doesn’t stop there since I’m well aware of the racism and injustice going on in India. I know more about India than ignorant Indians like yourself so don’t act like you know anything. You Indians are slaves of your fascist government. You guys don’t speak up against injustice which is why your douche bag prime minister is able to fool you guys every single time. Maybe your teacher failed to teach you to stand up against injustice. Sadly I’m not an ignorant fool like you. I don’t turn a blind eye to all that’s happening in the world. Guess what, the Muslim community knows right from wrong which is something you have no idea about. Go ahead and try to defend your shithole nation. A nation where eating beef is a bigger crime than rape. A nation where criminals like Salman Khan and Narendra Modi are hailed as heroes. A radical extremist like Yogi Adityanath tells his followers to dig up the dead bodies of Muslim women and rape them. Now he’s elected as a leader. You guys are setting great examples by electing such criminals. Now everyone will look up to these fools who are supposed to be in prison. Do you still wanna say I don’t know about India? So called world’s largest democracy yet eating beef gets you killed and rape victims are ostracized from the society.
