Sushant Singh Rajput’s Ashes to be immersed in Patna Today; sister Shweta asks for, ‘very Loving and Happy farewell’

In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput ended his life by committing suicide on Sunday, June 14 2020. The actor was found hanging at his Bandra house in Mumbai and the police found antidepressant pills at his residence. Sushant, 34, reportedly battled depression for the last six months and his close friends and maid suggest that he was disturbed since last week.

Sushant’s US-based sister - Shweta Singh Kirti was unable to attend her beloved brother’s funeral but took the first flight she could to be with her family. 

Now, Shweta revealed that the late actor's asthi visarjan will take place on June 18, 2020. She took to her Facebook handle and penned a note which read, “Reached my Patna’s home safely yesterday. Thanks to everyone who was praying and who helped in the process. It was hassle free Today we will be doing Asthi Visarjan (Ashes Immersion) for Bhai. I again want to ask all to pray for him and send him off with all the fond memories and unconditional love in your hearts. Let’s celebrate his life and give him a very loving and happy farewell. #Sushantsinghrajput”

The Chhichhore actor’s funeral took place on June 15 2020, Monday in Mumbai’s Pawan Hans crematorium in Suburban Vile Parle. Owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, only close family members and friends were allowed to attend the funeral.
